Electrical issues  - my worst nightmare

Well, I seem to use that expression a lot when I'm talking about technical issues at sea on an 18m boat sailing single-handed... but in this case, I swear, it's really in my top 3.

Whilst I was in the middle of a battle with squalls and dark clouds, stuck in the famous doldrums (in which I took a shower that was not very pleasant , the huge monsoon raindrops at 25 knots give a unique shower effect), last night at nightfall (it's always at nightfall that things get tricky) I had the unfortunate surprise of seeing some of my key systems shut down. Goodbye temporarily to my autopilot, navigation charts, communications with the outside world 😵‍💫.

Yikes.

This is a situation I really don't like, not at all. Nothing to hold the helm, nothing to know where I'm going, and an immediate and powerful reminder of the laws of nature: ‘Yes, my little lady, you're all alone on a boat in the middle of Atlantic! What do you think you're doing with your rocket ship and your videos?

In short, I've lost a lot of energy and some ground, but the team and I are sure of our solution and it shouldn't happen again. A bit of a problem with the charging temperature and safety thresholds being exceeded (yes, when ClaCla is too hot, it's 33 degrees on board l'Occitane), it's a safe bet that my batteries are too!

In short,  I changed a couple of settings and that should do it.

(And if there are two or three of you who want to make little incantations or anti-blackout prayers, I'll take them)
